Create a Sage 50 Canada import file

  1. Open My Reports and create or open the report you want to transfer.
  2. Expand Accounting and choose Create an Import File.
  3. Select Sage 50 Canada.
  4. Upload the destination chart of accounts and complete the G/L, tax, balancing-account, and vendor mappings required by the selected file type.
  5. Review the ExpenseBot preview and download the General Journal or Purchase Invoice file.
  6. In Sage 50 Canada, import one small file first and review Sage's preview before importing a larger period.

Open My Reports

ExpenseBot uses the saved mapping to prepare the file, but it does not guarantee that every category, vendor, tax code, or account in a particular Sage company already exists or is correct. Missing required setup must be fixed before import. Do not skip Sage's preview.

The file workflow supports Canadian GST/HST/PST fields according to the configured destination profile and report data. It does not post automatically, attach receipts through a Sage API, or remove transactions already present in Sage.
