How it works: When ExpenseBot automation appends or inserts rows, it operates on the actual underlying data, not the filtered view. Your expenses will be inserted correctly regardless of any active filter.
One gotcha to know: If you have a filter active (say, only showing expenses tagged "Travel"), and a new expense tagged "Food" is added, that new row will be immediately hidden by your active filter. You might think the expense wasn't added - but it's there! Just clear the filter to see everything.
Pro tip: Use the Create Report button to generate a report for any time period. Once created, reports are never touched by the system - you can filter, sort, and customize freely. Reports also include G/L account summaries and other helpful features!
