Eligible Gemini Spark users can add ExpenseBot as a custom Connected App using its remote MCP server. This is a direct custom connection; ExpenseBot does not currently claim a curated Gemini Connected Apps listing.
Before you start
Google currently documents custom Connected Apps as available only in Gemini Spark. Its setup page says you must be 18 or older, use a personal Google Account rather than a work or school account, have Keep Activity on, and meet Gemini Spark's current language and regional availability requirements. If Custom apps for Spark does not appear, your account is not currently eligible.
Connect ExpenseBot

On a computer, open gemini.google.com.

Open Settings & help → Connected Apps. If you do not see it, open Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps.

Under Custom apps for Spark, choose Add a custom app.

Enter this MCP server URL:

Click Next, then complete ExpenseBot sign-in and consent in the browser. ExpenseBot supports Dynamic Client Registration, OAuth, and PKCE, so do not create or paste a personal token and do not enter a hand-written client secret.

In a Gemini Spark task, type
@and choose ExpenseBot when you want to make sure Gemini uses it. -
Verify read-only access first: "Show my top five expense categories this month. Do not change anything."
Gemini currently asks for manual confirmation before a custom app performs a write action. ExpenseBot also preserves its own preview and confirmation boundaries for sensitive changes.

Disconnect ExpenseBot
In Gemini, return to Settings & help → Connected Apps, open ExpenseBot under Custom apps for Spark, then turn it off, disconnect it, or remove it. Disconnecting unlinks the MCP server and revokes its Google-account connection.
