Yes. In My Reports, the report owner can connect a Wave business and push an expense report through Wave's official API.
Send a report to Wave
- Open My Reports.
- Create a report if the expenses are not already grouped in one.
- Open the report card and expand Accounting.
- Choose the Wave tile to connect. If already connected, choose Review & push this report.
- Select the Wave business and paid-through account, review the summary, and confirm the push.
Gmail scanning does not post receipts to Wave automatically.
Before pushing, ExpenseBot asks you to choose the Wave bank, cash, credit card, or loan account the report was paid through. It maps active business expense lines to your Wave Chart of Accounts and creates one summary money transaction for the report, dated on the day you push it. Personal or capitalized split portions require explicit destination accounts. Expenses you marked Omitted are left out.
Important limits:
- Wave API access requires an active Wave Pro or Wave Advisor subscription.
- The selected Wave business must use Wave's current accounting platform.
- The report currency must match the selected paid-through account.
- ExpenseBot does not attach receipt files, create vendors, or provide a Wave-specific CSV import.
- Wave is owner-managed. An accountant cannot push a client's report using the accountant's Wave connection.
Review the resulting summary transaction in Wave before reconciling it. A second push is blocked unless you explicitly confirm Push again.
