Yes. Ask ExpenseBot chat or a connected assistant to review a specific period, then choose which groups should receive the expenses. For example:
Show my travel-category expenses from February 1 to October 25, 2026, grouped by country. Keep unknown locations separate.
ExpenseBot uses the expense categories and explicit country information recorded with the expense. A currency or an ambiguous city name does not establish a country. Unknown locations stay separate. Category-based review does not prove that every meal or other purchase belonging to a trip has been found.
Counts and totals are shown separately for each currency. This review reads the master expense sheet, not duplicate copies in past reports. If more than 100 expenses match, choose a shorter period or narrower categories rather than treating a partial list as the full answer.
Then ask:
Put the UK expenses in Siren and the Mexico expenses in AL&A. Leave existing assignments unchanged and show me the proposed changes first.
The assistant prepares a separate confirmation for each group. Review the exact expenses, current groups and proposed changes. Nothing is applied until you confirm. Existing assignments are preserved by default; explicitly request a replacement if that is what you intend. Personal classification safeguards still apply. A different company is not the same as personal spending.
After a successful change, use the returned Undo action while its undo window is available. These are changes to existing expenses, not rules for future receipts.
You can also ask Which expenses have no client tag? A trip or project tag can still have no client assignment. That is different from unassigned, which means blank or Business, and neither proves that a purchase is billable.
See Manage tags and Create tags with your assistant.
Questions to try in chat
Replace the dates and group names with your own. Start with a month that has travel expenses. These first questions only review information:
- "Show my travel-category expenses for September 2026, grouped by country. Keep unknown locations separate."
- "Show the expense counts and totals for each country, with each currency separate."
- "Which of those expenses have unknown locations? Show their recorded locations."
- "Show only the UK expenses from that review, including their current groups."
- "Which expenses from September 2026 have no client tag? Keep Personal expenses clearly identified."
- "Show only unassigned expenses for September 2026."
For a short demonstration, continue with one destination at a time:
- "Preview putting the unassigned UK expenses from that review in Siren. Leave other assignments unchanged."
- Review the confirmation card. Choose Confirm only if you want those real records changed; choose Cancel to demonstrate the preview without changing anything.
- "Now preview putting the unassigned Mexico expenses from September 2026 in AL&A."
- After a confirmed change, use its returned Undo action to demonstrate reversing it while the undo window is available.
To intentionally move already-assigned expenses, say: "Preview replacing the existing groups on these UK expenses with Siren. Keep Personal expenses out." Review the replacement warning before confirming. Do not use that example unless replacing those assignments is actually intended.
The assistant may ask which categories count as travel or ask for a narrower period. Unknown country results are useful evidence gaps, not permission to guess. Use a test account or hide personal information when recording a demo.
