ExpenseBot

Does ExpenseBot save the pickup and destination from taxi and rideshare receipts?

Yes. When an original taxi or rideshare receipt shows the trip locations, ExpenseBot saves the route in the expense's Notes:

Yes. When an original taxi or rideshare receipt shows the trip locations, ExpenseBot saves the route in the expense's Notes:

  • Both locations: Pickup → Destination
  • Only the destination: To: Destination
  • Only the pickup: From: Pickup

ExpenseBot does not invent a missing location. Some ride providers omit one endpoint from the receipt, and a bank or credit-card transaction normally contains only the merchant and amount. In those cases, the unavailable route cannot be recovered from the payment transaction alone.

For the strongest company reimbursement record, connect the Gmail inbox that receives the original Grab, Gojek, taxi, Uber, or Lyft receipt. The receipt provides the route; bank reconciliation confirms the payment.

If a ride email was missed, open it in Gmail and apply the ExpenseBot label. It will be processed on the next scan. See What if the Gmail scan missed a receipt?.

To group flights, hotels, meals, and rides from one work trip, use a trip tag and create a report by that tag. See How do I track expenses by business trip?.

For an older row whose original receipt is still in the connected Gmail account, contact support@expensebot.ai. We may be able to restore the route from that source receipt without recreating the expense.
